Great Yarmouth 2010
On 17 August 2010, Jezz and Wayne met with Joan & Hayley for a short break away in a chalet at Great Yarmouth.
Yesterday’s World Emporium
Yesterday’s World was a staple on the Golden Mile for several years, trading on a fondness for curiosities and nostalgia. Inside were old-fashioned street scenes, preserved shops, a myriad of time-warp artefacts as well as a themed tearoom. It opened in 2007 but sadly, closed down just seven years later, in 2014.

Just relaxing.

Outside the chalet.

Outside the chalet.

And again.

All of us seated watching an information video.

Joan, Jezz and Hayley standing by the side of some members of The Royal Family and their actual height.

I’m as tall as a queen… ahuh!

A display of a sweet shop from days gone by.

Jezz at a mock railway station.

Jezz with Joan and Hayley on the platform of the railway station… not a real one!

Stood waiting for a train. 2 hours before anyone told me.

Jezz outside number 11. Nope… no idea either.

Jezz doing hopscotch. This was just before a lady came out of her shop shouting, “stop doing that… my porcelain and china display keeps wobbling. You’ll have it over in a minute.”

An actual working old-fashioned fun fair horse carousel merry-go-round thingy.

About to go on the ghost train for a second time. She had fun scaring everything the first time.

I had to go in and tell them it’s just a mock-up of a vintage sweet shop. No one is coming out to serve.

Even spelt the same way.

Nice little pub for a ham egg and chips stop.
